Color Filters 9/30/25
This photo was taken on campus during Core II class. I chose three color filters, including blue, yellow and purple. The filters were thin, plastic squares that are meant to alter colors in photographs. For this picture, I held the blue and purple color filter on top of one another to achieve this picture. I took multiple photos of things like plants, rocks, and landscapes, but this picture turned out to be my favorite. I like how this turned out looking because of the smooth transition of colors. The light from the sun turned into a magenta tone that slowly turned into a dark blue. Overall, I found this picture to be really aesthetic. This activity taught me the importance of color in photographs, and how altering color scheme can greatly impact, or completely change photographs. I think in this example, the color filters changed the original photo into a picture with a more relaxed, or even sad mood.
