Goldfish 11/25/25
Below is a picture of a painting called Goldfish by Henri Matisse. This is one of my favorite paintings, and I have a large print of it hanging in my living room. Goldfish was part of a series that Matisse produced between the spring and early summer of 1912. It’s made with oil-on-canvas and is part of the Post-Impressionism art movement. Matisse is my favorite painter because of his use of color. His work is usually simple but vibrant and bold, usually surprising me with his use of non-naturalistic color. I find his style of work to be very captivating, and I think that Goldfish is a good example of this.
